With the chimneys having been finished this week, we lit the fires at St Helen’s for the first time today. In the nave we have installed a temporary stove to raise the temperature of the church, as it needs to be above 5 degrees for the the lime in the plaster to cure properly when we start plastering in a couple of weeks time.
