Earlier this afternoon, Cos noticed a mysterious twittering noise coming from inside our JCB tele-handler. He looked under the boom to discovered three baby blackbirds huddled in a precariously positioned nest. Judging by their size they must have been there for a while, despite the JCB being used almost everyday. Once the babies were discovered we immediately parked the JCB. No sooner had we done so, than the chicks’ mum and dad appeared! The JCB will of course not be operated again until the baby birds have fledged.
